# Combating Learning Plateaus

> TLDR: Biweekly research posts.
I thought my first post should address the reason that this site exists, I'll try not to drag on, promise.
## I'm too good
As a degree apprentice, learning on the job has been the #1 focus, I've always intended to learn at least one new thing everyday and for the most part that's been quite successful.
However, just recently I have begun to find myself ending the day having dealt with nothing new, or at least nothing that a quick DuckDuckGo (not quite as catchy as Google) couldn't make me understand.
Perfect, I've mastered cyber security - I'll take the CISO position now!
To be a tad less facetious, I've realised that my learning has plateaued and whilst occasionally dealing with a new or niche technology here or there certainly helps expand my knowledge beyond this, I really ought to stop waiting for knowledge to come to me and pursue it instead.
## Now what?
My goal is to conduct biweekly (2 / month) research into topics that I've decided to learn about, be them completely unheard of or something I just haven't been 100% sure about, then summarise and upload it here.
I imagine if you're a seasoned cyber security expert, you'll either find it a refreshing look into knowledge you learned long ago or an incredibly painful read - I'll be hoping for the former but no guarantees.
That said, if you're also early on in your learning journey or just starting out, maybe you'll find some of it useful.
## Final Words
I'm super excited to give this a go, get my mojo back a bit and to share some research that I find interesting.
